Reported to the register 09/04/2020
What is wrong: Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2019-2020 Ram 1500, 1500 Classic and Jeep Compass vehicles. The windshield wiper arm or arms may loosen, possibly causing the wipers to not operate properly and reduce the driver's visibility in certain weather conditions.
The risk: Reduced visibility increases the risk of a crash.
The fix: Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will tighten the wiper nuts, free of charge. The recall began April 27, 2020. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is W25.
What this page can and cannot tell you
These are the campaigns the American register (NHTSA) links to this model and year: the ones that may cover the car. Whether one specific car is included, and whether its repair was already carried out, only the manufacturer or the authority's own VIN lookup can confirm. A recall repair is free at an authorised dealer.
Where we hold the notice, the link goes to our own page, which keeps every version of the wording — including any the manufacturer rewrote after publication. Where we do not, the link goes to the authority.
Confirm this exact car by VIN: here, or at NHTSA, DVSA, Transport Canada.
